Flood levees protecting the Queensland border town of Goondiwindi are being severely tested as the Macintyre River passes record levels.

The weather bureau has warned of a flood level higher than the forecast 10.85 metres, but the water has been at 10.6 metres for several hours and holding steady.

Fifteen people have been confirmed dead as a result of southern Queensland's floods, with the number of missing being revised down to 55. Authorities say they hold grave concerns for 12.

  It is a shame that the media is not producing live animations from satellite pictures 24 hours so everybody can follow how the water travel. Are we going to sit here like ducks and guessing what is next...Goondiwindi, Texas, Lismore or Clarence Valley??????

      They would not tell you how the Flash Flooding, "The Wall of Water", "The Inland Tsunami" was originated!
      
      You need to make your own assessment from what you can see and understand, and not listen to a string of cliches about "heroes" in the aftermath, like a Nationalistic Competition.
